The 100 Level Build
Hello everyone!
I said it was coming forthwith and now it has! This update includes the 100-level build which is playable from start to finish in a pretty-much intended fashion!
There are some minor graphical problems that spring up in the final two worlds of the game but you can figure them out pretty quickly. You only need to complete 70 levels to beat the game so for the time being, I would suggest if you encounter a graphical bug, return to the overworld and move on to the next level!
World 9 (The Barren Moon) is harder than intended because the enemies don't respect your range and will shoot at you from across the map. The levels should still be do-able but expect an easier time in the next update.
The things left to do are add sounds/music where appropriate and overhaul the graphics and some of the physics. This is essentially how the game will *play* though which I'm pretty excited about.
As always, I would love to hear feedback on here about what I can do better/what you like (especially that second one)
Important things to note:
- All of the golden pellets are attainable as they are, so feel free to try and collect them!
- All of the timer challenges are in the game, though some of them are either far too easy or impossible to get, if you think "there is no way I could do this in time" then you're probably right! Some of them are absolutely free though, will balance them before the next update.
- UI Scaling works well in a 720p window but I haven't tried it with lower resolutions (or higher ones, to be fair) so if the UI looks messed up, play in 720p for now! I am working on making the UI scale with resolution but haven't gotten there yet.
- The "Level Select - TESTING" menu isn't working correctly right now, so please use the new game option and play through the overworld. For testing purposes, you can press either B/N while in a level to skip to the next level or previous level (this will not count the level as completed, also probably best not to go backwards on level 1, I haven't tested it but you'll probably end up at the main menu -- This feature will be removed in the final version)
- You can use WASD or the arrow keys to move, space bar on the overworld to select the level and the mouse to press the UI buttons. Controller support won't be hard to do but I made the game to play on a keyboard so it might not be fun to use a controller right now.
Have fun!
